Amplified Voices Uganda is a dynamic and compassionate nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of children especially those in conflict with the law across Uganda. Our mission is rooted in amplifying the voices of Children who are often unheard, ensuring their stories are heard and their rights are upheld. Through strategic partnerships, community engagement, and a holistic approach, we strive to create positive social change, empower Children, and contribute to building a more equitable and just society. Our initiatives encompass a wide range of areas, including education, child protection, legal advocacy, psychosocial support, and community development, all aimed at fostering sustainable and meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.
The Founder
Overview
I am an agent of social change , who is committed to promoting community led solutions in mental health, sexual and Reproductive health, WASH, Children and women’s rights, Livelihoods and Environment. I am a dedicated,open minded, result oriented and organized leader .
During my engagements, I have managed to Co-create solutions with persons of concern through community engagement, first hand experience working directly with persons of concern(refugees)
conflict resolution among persons of concern, strengthening and working with community structures to influence change in policies, WASH, Livelihoods and Environment thus creating community ownership of interventions, influencing change in local governments and undertaking evidence based advocacy . I’ve spearheaded the Cash transfer programming and GAD (gender, age and disability inclusion).
Mission
We’re a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the Rights of children. We use an integrated, collaborative approach which consists of research and public education, stakeholder engagement and grassroots mobilization, and policy advocacy and strategic litigation to advance critical human rights on behalf of children in Uganda.
Vision
We envision a world where society protects children from violence and harm, provides treatment and care to those children who do suffer harm, rehabilitates and forgives children who make mistakes or harm others, and ensures that all children are healthy and protected to thrive and realise their full potential without being deprived of their liberty.
